The Senate shall consist of:

• the Chancellor;
• the Pro-Chancellor;
• the Vice-Chancellor;
• (iii-a) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (if appointed)
• the Members of the Syndicate;
• the Deans
• the Directors;
• the Principals of the constituent colleges;
• the University Professors and Emeritus Professors;
• The Chairmen of the Teaching Departments;
• the Officer or Teacher Incharge of Students’ Affairs (Dean Students Affairs)
• three Principals of affiliated colleges to be elected by the Principals of all such colleges from amongst themselves;
• twelve Teachers of affiliated colleges having at least three years’ service in an affiliated college to be elected by the teachers of all such colleges from amongst themselves;
• Chairman of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education located within the jurisdiction of the University;
• Chairman of the Board of Technical
• two representatives of the University Students’ Union;
• two representatives of the affiliated colleges Students’ Unions to be elected by the Presidents of all the affiliated colleges Students Unions;
• twelve University Teachers having at least three years’ service to be elected by all University Teachers;
• two registered graduates to be elected by all such graduates from amongst themselves;
• three persons eminent in the Arts, Sciences and the Professions, one from each category;
• the Registrar;
• the Director of Finance;
• the Controller of Examinations;
• the Librarian;
