Research Associate Required at the Institute of Microbiology under NRPU Research Project
Applications are invited for the two posts of research associates at the Institute of Microbiology under HEC funded research project No.16912/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021-22. The selected candidate will perform Molecular Microbiology work related to the research project including Culturing, Genome extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis, antibacterial assays, and other practical work in laboratory, data generation and analysis, and report writing. The Selected candidate will be paid as approved by HEC for the period of one year which is extendable up to two years.
Eligibility criteria
1. Research Associate (Ph.D.student)
Interested candidates should have a M.S/M. Phil degree in Microbiology/Molecular Biology with no third division in the academic career from HEC recognized University/DAI. The candidate should be enrolled in a PhD program at University of Sindh. (Preference will be given to the candidate who is registered on the research topic relevant to the research project).
The candidate having experience of molecular Microbiology techniques including PCR, DNA Electrophoresis and DNA manipulations will be given preference.
2. Research Associate (M. Phil student)
Interested candidates should have a B.S in Microbiology/Molecular Biology with no third division in the academic career from HEC recognized University/DAI. The candidate should be enrolled in a M.Phil program at University of Sindh. (Preference will be given to the candidate who is registered on the research topic relevant to the research project).
The candidate having experience of molecular Microbiology techniques and antimicrobial assays will be given preference.
Interested candidate should send their application along with resume, two recent passport size photographs and attested copies of CNIC, degrees/ certificates latest by 25th September 2023 to the undersigned. Final selection of candidates will be done after evaluation of academic credentials and only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview via phone call/ SMS/email. No T/A and D/A will be admissible.
