Institute of Business Administration

The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Sindh, Jamshoro, is the second oldest Business School in Pakistan. IBA was established in 1979 under the dynamic leadership of Late Professor Nabi Bakhsh Daudpota. IBA is one of the most prestigious institutes at the University of Sindh Jamshoro, which promotes cutting-edge research and knowledge in the field of business administration and management sciences. IBA has thoroughly updated its curricula under the revised scheme of studies by HEC in order to meet the emerging challenges of the Market. Our Bachelors, Masters, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses are up to date and designed keeping in view the requirements of skills and expertise needed for higher education research. Currently, out of 26 faculty members, 22 faculty members have Ph.D. and 02 have M.S. degrees from Pakistan and across the globe from academically/technologically advanced countries. IBA is proud to have a very rich faculty in terms of expertise and knowledge regarding qualitative and quantitative research. IBA has a big number of HEC approved supervisor faculty. The faculty of IBA has a huge number of publications not only in HEC recognized national journals but SCOPUS indexed journals and SSCI indexed journals. Along with this, the faculty of IBA has a number of book chapters published in recent years. With highly qualified and experienced faculty, IBA Jamshoro has been actively engaged from time to time in getting funds for research projects. Currently, one National research project (NRPU) is running under the principal investigation of Dr. Imamuddin Khoso and Co. investigation of Dr. Maria. Our graduates are well rewarded and are working in key positions in private and public sector organizations within the country and abroad. The total number of students registered in morning and evening programs in various classes is close to 2500. IBA has produced 25 M.Phil. scholars so far. IBA has produced 20 Ph.D. scholars since the start of Ph.D. Program in 2014. Currently, many research scholars are working towards finishing M.Phil. and Ph.D. research degrees. IBA offers a well-equipped computer lab and seminar library to its research scholars. In IBA, one computer lab is specially assigned for M.Phil. and Ph.D. research students.
