It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Center for Rural Development Communication (CRDC) at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Since its establishment in 2002, CRDC has remained committed to advancing the cause of rural development through effective communication, research, and education.
At CRDC, we firmly believe that “No Development Without Communication, No Communication Without Participation.” This guiding principle reflects our conviction that sustainable development can only be achieved when communities are informed, engaged, and empowered to participate in shaping their own futures.
The BS Development Communication program at CRDC equips students with both theoretical insights and practical skills in development communication, journalism, and media advocacy. We are also expanding our academic offerings with upcoming Professional Diplomas in Health Communication and Environmental Journalism, designed to address evolving social and environmental challenges.
Beyond academics, CRDC continues to build bridges between academia, civil society, government, and international development partners. Through research, training, and community engagement, we strive to make communication a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable rural transformation.
I invite students, researchers, and professionals to join us in our mission to empower rural communities and strengthen the role of communication in development.
