DR.ABDUL RAZAQUE CHANNA
Assistant Professor & Incharge Chairman
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Our department is committed to the study of humanity in all its dimensions—past and present—through a scientific and research-oriented approach.
Anthropology and Archaeology provide unique lenses to understand the richness of our culture, heritage, and social life, as well as the challenges and complexities that shape our communities today. By exploring the traditions, values, and histories of Sindh and Pakistan, we aim not only to preserve our collective past but also to generate insights that can guide us in addressing the pressing social, cultural, and developmental issues of the present.
Our vision is to foster critical inquiry, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement. We strongly believe that through rigorous academic training and collaborative work, our students and faculty can contribute solutions to the complex issues of our society—ranging from heritage conservation and cultural identity to social inequality, public health, and sustainable development.
I warmly invite you to come and visit us and meet our vibrant faculty and curious students to explore our programs, research, and initiatives.
Together, we can build a deeper understanding of our shared humanity and contribute meaningfully to the progress of Sindh, Pakistan, and beyond.
