Department of Software Engineering

The Department of Software Engineering, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, was established in 2002 under the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) and was among the pioneering institutions in Pakistan to introduce a formal four-year undergraduate degree program in Software Engineering. Since its establishment, the Department has continuously evolved in response to advancements in computing technologies and the changing needs of the software industry. It has a highly qualified faculty, with most members holding PhD degrees from prestigious national and international universities and actively keeping abreast of contemporary research trends. The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art software, hardware, electronics, and communication laboratories, along with a seminar library and access to the HEC Digital Library, providing students and faculty with resources to support both theoretical and practical learning.
