Department of Muslim History

The Department of Muslim History was established in the year 1952-53 at Old Campus, now Elsa Kazi Campus, Hyderabad. In September 1971 the Department of General History and Muslim History were merged under the name of Department of History. In 1978 again the Departments were bifurcated and the Department of Muslim History became an independent department. The department offers B.A.(Hons.), M.A. (Hons.) and M.A. (Pass) in Muslim History. This department is imparting quality education and teaching programs are revised and updated as per requirement of the society. The department offers 58 courses at Honours and Graduate level. M.Phil courses at Postgraduate level will be started from the next session. This department with the help of qualified faculty members is providing up to date knowledge of the various subjects of History of the Muslims from the advent of Islam upto the History of Freedom Movement of Pakistan.
