The Second oldest University of Pakistan; the University of Sindh has established its Campus @ Larkano in March 2013 to cater the quality education in rural areas of Upper Sindh on directives of the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Mughal put efforts, initiatives and achieved the target of commencement of academic Session – 2013 at Arts & Commerce College Larkana which allocated a wing for this purpose.
The establishment of Sindh University Campus @ Larkano is peoples Government initiative to facilitate the increasing number of college students of district Larkano, Qamber @ Shahdad Kot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kashmore. The campus will serve the interest of poorest population of the region, who cannot afford the higher education in the big cities of Country due to their socio-economic constraints. Therefore, the University of Sindh Campus @ Larkano will go a long way for the betterment and enhancement of the quality education the above region particularly & whole country generally.
