Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah (KBSAS) Campus, Naushahro Feroze is a continuation of the great tradition of promotion of education and social development in the region. University of Sindh established Campus in January 2014 with a vision to bring quality higher education to the doorsteps of people of Naushahro Feroze and adjoining areas.

The Campus is named after Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah a renowned educationist and philanthropist who played a key role in promoting education in Naushahro Feroze. His educational legacy is especially linked to the historic Government Madrassah High School, Naushahro Feroze, founded in 1893. History says Syed Allahando Shah was a great person and he encouraged the people of the area to get education.

Thus, the genesis of the University of Sindh Campus is a continuation of a century-old vision of education: making education accessible to communities that have historically faced barriers to higher education. The initiative was also made possible through the generous contribution of Syed Zaffar Ali Shah, grandson of Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah, donated land for the Campus to provide higher education opportunities to the local population.

 

The establishment of the Campus has provided opportunities for university education to the people of Naushahro Feroze and adjacent areas closer to their homes. It was created to cater to the educational needs of those students who, due to socioeconomic and geographical constraints, may face difficulties in pursuing higher education at Jamshoro or other distant universities.

The Campus has been running programs in fields like Business Administration, Information Technology and English Language and Literature and has also offered postgraduate and research opportunities at various stages of its development. The University has continued planning for the establishment of new disciplines in line with the educational and socioeconomic demands of the region.

 

Foundation stone for academic block laid- an important milestone in the Campus’s institutional development, following the approval of the funding for the construction of the Campus’s academic block. This was a testimony to the continuous effort of the University to improve upon the physical and academic infrastructure of the Campus.

Today, the Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah Campus is part of the University of Sindh’s vision to take higher education beyond the main campus and offer opportunities to students in different parts of Sindh.

The Campus upholds the educational legacy of Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah through the incorporation of access to higher education, academic development, community service and human resource development. Its vision for the future is to further expand academic programs and teaching and research facilities to provide students of Naushahro Feroze and surrounding districts with education according to the changing needs of society and the employment market.

The education story of Naushahro Feroze starts from the legendary educational efforts of Khan Bahadur Syed Allahando Shah and ends with the establishment of a modern University of Sindh Campus. This reflects a continuing commitment to knowledge, opportunity and community development.
