Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is a vibrant department of Social Sciences Faculty University of Sindh. Established in 1953 the department is one of the oldest departments of the University of Sindh. Department has been contributing to society through intellectual discourse and research activities in Pakistan. Department has rich faculty with high level of intellectual reputation. The department offers BS 4 years Program in Economics, 2 years Masters in Economics. In order to train youth in research the department of Economics offers M.Phil and PhD by Course programs. Students with variety of back ground subjects with 4 years Bachelors degree or 16 years Masters degree in Commerce, Business studies, Development studies, and Economics are eligible to apply for admission in M.Phil, while Students with M.Phil degree of not less than 24 credit hours by course are eligible to apply for admission.
