The administration of University of Sindh has termed the statement of the Vice Chancellor Sindh Agriculture University Tando jam as an act of personal vengeance and vendetta and said Dr. A. Q Mughal has used an un-parliamentary language against his counterpart Dr. Nazir A Mughal, which is unbecoming of his stature and may prompt one to file defamation suit.
In response to the statement of the vice chancellor of Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam published in various newspapers, the administration of University of Sindh said in its response that Dr. A. Q Mughal has transgressed all the limits of ethics and proved him to be mentally sick and unaware of the facts.
It said that a number of leading education institutions were providing leave encashment to the related employees including Karachi University, NED University, Mehran Engineering University, Allama Iqbal Open University, IBA Karachi and Sukkur adding that as to why Dr. A. Q Mughal remained calm on the measures taken earlier by above mentioned universities and he came on with allegations just against the vice chancellor of Sindh University.
The administration further observed that Dr. Nazir A Mughal is dedicated and committed to serve the university and to facilitate the employees and students adding the all the approvals including leave encashment were given by the syndicate of the university.
The statement said the remarks of A.Q Mughal show that he is not an educated Vice Chancellor of a university but a political leader who levels allegations against his rivals all the time. It occurs that Dr. A. Q Mughal has either personal grudges against his Sindh University counterpart or he plays in the hands of those who don’t want Sindh University to prosper.
According to the statement, Dr. Nazir A Mughal does not intend to enter politics so A.Q Mughal should prepare to take part in forthcoming elections for which it said it was hatching the conspiracies or he was the part of such plots to defame an honorable personality.
It further clarified that there was a group of 4 to 5 teachers in Sindh University, who have been trying to deteriorate the peaceful atmosphere of Sindh University whereas a politician in the form of Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam tried to offer oxygen to it by his derogatory remarks against Vice Chancellor Dr. Nazir A Mughal adding that being a general university, Karachi university initiated to pay leave encashment and later the syndicate of the mother varsity which is university of Sindh has approved the same.
The administration said that for concealing his ineligibility and failure, A.Q Mughal has accused that running of the universities in the province would be difficult in result of the approval of leave encashment in Sindh university.
“Sindh University will be providing facilities to its employees as much as it can, because it considers its employees to be real assets of this great institution, so we don’t need to care of anyone who is leveling allegations.” The administration said adding that the remarks of the Vice Chancellor of Tando Jam University are redundant, contrary to the facts and very much unbecoming and highly astonishing.
It further said that all the matters of the University of Sindh were running smoothly. But such statement of Dr. A.Q Mughal could jeopardize the educational atmosphere in all the universities.
