The Sindh University syndicate has approved and recommended the Senate the recurring budget estimated for the year of 2012-2013 as Rs. 3058 Million with a deficit of Rs. 631.264 Million and resolved to write the Higher Education Commission to release of funds for the year 2011-2012 funds to overcome the deficit . The syndicate also approved the revised budget estimated for 2012-2011 as Rs. 2760.365 Million with deficit of Rs. 38.974 Million. The estimated budget was approved by 182nd meeting of syndicate chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Nazir A. Mughal. The meeting was attended by Justice ( Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza, Advisor to Governor Sindh Mr. Mumtaz Rehman, Dr. Parven Shah, Dr. Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Anwar Ali Shah, Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili, Dr. Asadullah Larik, Dr. Mumtaz Bhutto, Dr. Sarfraz Hussain Solangi, Prof. Abdul Sattar Ansari, Mr. Jhamat Jethanand, Prof. Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Mastoi, Prof. Badaruddin Soomro, Mr. Imran Ali Halepoto and Registrar Muhammad Nawaz Narejo. The Director Finance Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed while briefing the meeting about recurring budget in the light of recommendations of Finance Planning Committee (FPC) informed that for the year 2012-2013 estimated income is Rs. 2427.228 Million and estimated expenditure is Rs. 3058.492 Million. He informed that under revised budget for the year 2011-2012 estimated income is Rs. 2721.391 Milion and expenditure estimates are Rs. 2760.365 Million. The meeting syndicate approved to initiate economic measures and also different projects to help in generating of funds for over coming the deficits. It also approved to constitute a six member committee to rationalize the expenditures. The meeting also approved the up gradation and creation of teaching and administrative posts at the University and its campuses. The meeting approved the up gradation of 326 posts of clerk-cum typist from BPS-7 to BPS-11/12 and Superintendent of BPS-16 to BPS-17. The meeting also approved the site of land processed for purchase from the Government of Sindh for allotting residential plots to the employees under 3rdphase The meeting also expressed deep sorrow on sad demise of Dr. Haji Mahmood Memon former member of Syndicate and selection board and Professor Emeritus of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology. The meeting also approved to allow annual increments to Prof. Badaruddin Soomro since 1997 and fixation of salary as per rules. The approved the recommendations of three selections boards for the appointment of faculty and promotions of employees in officers grades. The syndicate in the light of recommendations of 151st meeting of the selection board approved the appointment of Dr. Sobho Khan Jamali and Dr. Nanakram as Professor in Economics, Miss Zohra Khaton Khowaja Assistant Professor in Science and Technical education department, . Ms. Sameena Zafar and Ms. Sumera Erum Assistant Professor in department of Distance Continuing and computer education, Hafiz Sughtullah Bhutto, Nizamuddin Nizamani and Dr. Naheed Araeen as Assistant Professor in Comparative Religion and Islamic Culture. The meeting also approved to appoint Ms Ambreen Sharyar Shaikh, Abdul Fatah Somro, Tariq Hassan Umrani, Miss Samina Abass as Assistant Professor in Institute of English Language and Literature. The meeting approved to appoint Dr. Zainul Aabdin as Assistant professor and Mufti Sahibdad Pitafi and Nazar Hussain Chanmdio as Lecturer Arabic and Miss Bilqees Leghari as Lecturer in Persian. The meeting approved to appoint Dr. Hamid Ali as Assistant Professor in Pharmacology, Dr. Sahista Bano and Ms Muneeza Sharif Farooqi as Assistant Professor in Microbiology. The syndicate in light of recommendations of 152nd selection board approved to appoint Dr. Rizwana Chang as Professor and Muhammad Qasim Nizamani and Muhammad Siddique Soomro as Assistant professor department of Mass Communication. The meeting approved to appoint Ms Farwah Shah as Assistant Professor in Public Administration, Miss Muneera Junejo Assistant Professor in Sociology, Miss Moeena Akhtar and Ahmed Ali Hulio as Assistant Professor in Institute of Chemistry, Dr. Afsheen Shah, Miss Farah Naz and Miss Abetaseem Tahir Assistant Professor Institute of Biochemistry. The meeting approved to appoint Rafiq Ahmed Lashari Assistant professor Geology, Niaz Hussain Arejo Assistant Professor IIT and Ms Nosheen Jahejo and Bibi Naheed Shah Jilani as Lecturer in Zoology. The meeting approved to appoint Mohib Ali Leghari, Shafiq Ahmed Junejo, Ms. Shaista Naz Khan and Sujo Menghwar as Assistant professor in Geography. The meeting approved to appoint Zainul Aabdin Khuro and Muhammad Rafiq Mallah as Assistant Professor IMCS, Sanaullah Ansari , Sumera Umrani , Shafqat Ali Qadri, Faraz Ali Bughio, Miss Ishrat Ranghani and Miss Komal Ansari as Assistant Professor at Institute of English Language and Literature . Nasrullah Kabooro, Muhammad Ali Leghari Assistant Porfessor in Muslim History , Miss Paras Bashir Channer as Lecturer in IBA, Imam Bux Burio and Abdul Sattar Gopang as Assistant Professor in Curriculum Development and Special Education while Mr. Naveed Hussain Sandelo as Lecturer in Philosophy. The meeting approved to appoint Dr. Muhammad Bux Burdi and Dr. Zareen Abassi as Professor in Public Administration and Dr. Allah Bux Ghanghro and Dr. Muhammad Yakoob Memon as Professor in Institute of Biochemistry. The meeting also approved to appoint Dr. Hidayatullah Mahessar, in Physiology, Dr. Naheed Kaka in Zoology, Dr. Abdul Jabbar Pirzado and Dr. Rabia Asma Memon in Institute of Plant Sciecnes as Associate Professor. The meeting approved to appoint as Associate Professor to Dr. Azhar Ali Shah in IICT, Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah in Chemistry, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Memon in IMCS, Dr. Riaz Hussain Maree in Physics and Dr. Niamtullah Shah in Public Administration . The meeting approved to appoint Ali Khan Ghumro, in International Relations, Dr. Imtiaz Ali Koreejo, Dr. Yasir Arfat Malkani, Drt. Fida Hussain Chandio, Dr. Hyder Ali Nizamani, Ms. Noor Jahan Rajpar, Miss Zohra Ihsan Khowaja and Muhammad Zeeshan Patoli as Assistant Professor in IMCS and Khalid Hussain Lashari as Assistant Professor in Freshwater Biology. The meeting approved to appoint Associate professor to Dr. Imamuddin Khoso in IBA, Dr. Saima Qayoom Memon, Dr. Kulsoom Abassi in Institute of Chemistry. The syndicate in light of recommendation of the 153rd selection board approved the promotion of Mr. Muhammad Qasim Maka in BPS-20, Ms Almas Khowaja and Shafiq Ahmed Memon in BPS-19, Abdul Latif Joogi , Ms. Mukhtiar Bhatti, Muhammad Anwar Channa, Abdul Ghafoor Khaskheli, Ghulam Nabi Qaboolio and Muhammad Rafiq Panhwar and Habibullah Rajpar in BPS-18. The meeting approved the promotion of Ghulam Qadir Saharan, Asghar Ali Larik, Abdul Sattar Memon, Badarudin Memon and Pir Bux Bajeer, Ms Nasreen Thebo, Hafiz Abdul Raheem Bhatti, Muhammad Moosa Rajar and Miss Fahmida Pnadhiani in BPS-17. The meeting approved to appoint Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah and Muhammad Badarul Salam as Transport Officer in BPS-17, Nadir Ali Mugheri as Public Relations Officer in BPS-17 and Iftikhar Ahmed Narejo as Assistant Registrar BPS-17. The meting also approved the promotion of Muhammad Siddique Shaikh, Nisar Ahmed Junejo, Abdul Sattar Shaikh and Abdul Raheem Leghari in BPS-17. The meeting approved to appoint Professor to Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Mastoi in Chemistry, Dr. Asad Ali Shaikh and Dr. Lachman Das in IICT, Dr. Ali Muhammad Soomro in Physiology, Dr. Aslam Memon in Political Science, Dr. Abdul Latif Tunio in International Relations, Dr. Atiq Ahmed Jilani in Urdu. The meeting also approved to appoint Professor to Dr. Khalid Hussain Shaik, Dr. Hakim Ali Kanasro and Dr. Muneeruddin Soomro in Institute of Commerce. The meeting approved to appoint Dr. Saima Shaikh and Dr. Aijaz Ali Wasan as Associate Professor in Sociology and Nisar Ahmed Subhpoto as Associate Professor in Library Science and Dr. Syed Habib Ahmed Naqvi as Associate Professor in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Dr. Abdul Waseem Shaikh Associate Professor in IMCs, Dr. Rafiq Ahmed Pathan Asscoaiet Professor in Urdu. The meting approved to appoint Hassan Lecturers to Latif Shaikh and Abdul Hameed Mahesar Lecturer in Chronology, Shoaib Ahmed Shah, Miss Nazisah Memon, Miss Saira Altaf Chandio, Mubarak Ali Lashari , Paras Baqloch, Syeda Uzma Shah, Miss Ghazal Shaikh, Miss Saima Jaffery, Waseem Hassan Malik and Miss Sumera Bhambhro as Lecturer in English. The meeting approved to appoint Assistant Professor to Ms Waheda Bano Baloch, Pir Najeebullah Shah, Nadir Ali and Saeed Ahmed Mangi in Institute of Art and Desing, Shoaib Kareem and Intizar Ali Lsahari as Assistant Professor in IBA, Ayaz Ahmed Chachar, Syed Zulfiqar Haider Zaidi Assistant Professor in Public Administration. The syndicate approved to appoint Muhammad Suleman Memon, Muhammad Hanif Soomro Lecturer in IT, Sarfraz Ali Malik, Amjad Hussain Lashari and Haroon Bukhari Lecturer in Business Administration, Miss Ume Kulsoom and Miss Atiqa Khalid Lecturer in English at Sindh University Campus Dadu.
