The administration of University of Sindh has strongly contradicted the allegations leveled by Sindh University Teachers Association (SUTA).

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012

The administration of University of Sindh on Monday has strongly contradicted the allegations leveled by Sindh University Teachers Association (SUTA) for creating fear of bloodshed  and said the classes will commence as scheduled as soon as  vacations are over,  whereas SUTA has tried to create anxiety to get unfair support from the society.

In a statement issued here, the University administration said that the Vice Chancellor has played a vital role in the progress of university and betterment of higher education and a vast majority of teachers are in support of vice chancellor. The statement further said, the Vice Chancellor with his efforts has resolved all the issues pertaining to teachers and employees. It said that the Sindh University employees’ welfare association (SUEWA) has also shown its complete solidarity with the Vice Chancellor which shows everything vividly that who is at fault and added that SUTA has itself admitted its disassociation with SUEWA which proves that it is no more effective.“A little group of teachers are trying to get their personal interests, for which it keeps on leveling allegations against honorable vice chancellor of the university”. The administration added.According to statement, the university is running quite smoothly, but the SUTA has talked about bloodshed on the campus and to create panic in the masses. The so-called leaders of SUTA have given a political statement in an attempt to destroy the peaceful environment of the university and to instigate the students.Since the majority of teachers, students and employees are in favor of running the affairs smoothly in the University of Sindh who are committed with the university and its vice chancellor Dr. Nazir A. Mughal is being torpedoed by SUTA who has lost its credibility, reputation as the period of its office bearers has expired on July 15, 2012 and at present it does not have any legal position to represent the teachers. The university administration strongly ruled out the allegations leveled by SUTA regarding patronizing some special groups and said no one dare react in the premises of university. It advised the teachers instead of wasting the precious time; they should realize their responsibility by taking the classes.
