Google is doing a great job by translating Google’s help information and search interface into your favorite language. The translation of “Sindhi”  is 53% complete. The Google search page in Sindhi is already there but it’s not 100 % complete according to Google Translation Status Report.

You can help Google with their translation process .Google will be available in your language of choice more quickly and with a better interface than it would have otherwise. There is no minimum commitment. You can translate a phrase, a page or an entire site. So please spare some time for this noble cause and make your contribution.

Noted analyst and expert of world foreign policy Maj General (Retd) Jamshed Ayaz Khan has said that Pakistan is lucky having best friends like China and young generation must respect and make stronger the friendship between Pakistan and China.
He was delivering a lecture on ” The Rise of China and its Regional Security and Strategic Implications” organized by the Area Study Centre Far East and South East Asia University of Sindh on Monday. The scholar said that people of China are very sincere, close friends and they love peoples of Pakistan and said that China’s economic growth can not be ignored.

He said that today in most of countries the products made by China are available and China has developed its market slowly and gradually with continuous efforts. He said that history of power politics in Asia during the past quarter century is a tale of the decline of tow powers i.e Russai- Japan, the gradual rise of China and the resurgence of a fourth USA. He said that China’s rise was an important feature of world politics in the late 20th century and added that China is a very apprehensive about the predominance of U.S power and would prefer a more multipolar world. The expert said that China’s growing confidence in its capability of shaping its environment and that the world is getting less dangerous will have profound implications for China’s diplomatic conduct in the coming years and added that most likely more self confident China will be a responsible with its growing strength. He said that China at present does not pose a global threat and added that despite its growing might, it is by no means world power. He said that China has maintained cordial relationship with all ASEAN Countries and added that China and ASEAN Countries have been able to understand each others. He said that ASEAN Countries and China have greatly minimized the chance of conflicts between them while China’s recent mediating during the squabble between Thailand and Cambodia underscored ASEAN Countries mutual confidence in China.
Dr. Rafia Ahmed Shaikh Pro Vice Chancellor of the University who presided over the occasion said that China throughout most of its history has been peace loving nation which has not exhibited aggressive designs towards other nations. She said that fall of the Soviet Union ushered in a new ear of unipolarism dominated by the United States and added that this has led to an imbalance in world relationships and has placed an unusually heavy burden on the shoulders of the U.S. She said that it is just not possible for any one country, no matter how powerful, to always control and maintain world affairs to its way of thinking and added that thus a vacuum is created which only naturally, needs to be filled up. She said that this new world order is bound to raise suspicions about its motives by other world powers, like U.S, Japan and European Countries. The Director of the Area Study Centre Dr. Parveen Shah speaking on the occasion said that rapid rise of China since the beginning of the 1990 has constituted a most dynamic development in East Asia with for reacting implications for the region and world. She said that strategic concept of the peaceful rise of China is intended to show that the objectives, nature, means and affects and added that China’s peaceful rise theory are all for peaceful purposes and that china will never repeat the mistakes made by Germany and Japan before and between the two world wars, which as rapidly rising powers, challenged the world order and the status quo powers at that time. She said that rise of China as an economic, political and military power will be a force for stability in international system and added that China believes in cooperation, interdependence and respect for world diversity.

Registrar, University of Sindh and others visited Liaquat Medical University and Inquired about Injured Student Safiullah Suhriani.

The Registrar of the University of Sindh Mr. Muhammad Hussain Shaikh on Monday visited the Liaquat Medical Hospital (LMC) Jamshoro to inquire the health of injured student Safeeullah Suhriani who was injured in clash of two groups of student and admitted in LMC Jamshoro. The Registrar also inquired the details from Medial Doctors available at the ICU of LMC about treatment given to the student. He expressed thanks of doctors and appreciating efforts and attention paid to injured student, said the University administration would also pay full attention for the health- care of the student. He also met with uncle of student Engineer Safdar Suhriani and informed him that the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Nazir Mughal who went for meeting Islamabad has inquired the health of student and treatment from time to time and deputed Director Students Affairs and Provost to visit hospital and inquire health of the student. He further informed that the Vice Chancellor has assured that every possible action against those who are involved in attack and injuring the student and directed the police for prompt action. He said that the University according to its disciplinary point of view has called an emergency meeting to take action and asked the DPO Jamshoro and other officials for arrest of the involved immediate. He assured him that the University has been taking care of the injured student and disciplinary action against the involved culprits. The Medical Officer Dr. Kashif Memon briefed the Registrar about the details of the treatment provided to injured student. He assured the every possible treatment of injured student and offered cooperation from the Hospital Management.  Uncle of the student Engineer Safdar Suhriani on this occasion requested the Registrar to pressurize the Police to arrest the culprits involved  and offered full cooperation on the their part. Meanwhile the Registrar of the University Mr. Muhammad Hussain Shaikh has announced that the classes in all teaching institutes and departments have been conducted in the peaceful and discipline manner. He appealed the students to be disciplined and maintain peace for development of peaceful academic environment for the smooth running of classes.

The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Nazir A.Mughal has said that Pakistan and Iran are brotherly countries and having historical cultural relations. He was speaking while inaugurating of cultural week on occasion of 31st Anniversary of Islamic Revolution of Iran at Zafar Kazimi Gallery of Sindh Museum Hyderabad organized by Iranian Cultural Centre on Thursday evening. The Vice Chancellor appreciated art work produced by the Irani artists and students of Cultural centre Hyderabad which were displayed at gallery said that Irani artists have deep work on the Islamic art and promoted it with handwork and dedication. He said that art work of the artists posses an important place and attraction in the minds and hearts of the viewers. He also highlighted historical background of the Revolution of Iran and said that at the time of president Carter of United States of America when revolution was in process, Shah of Iran visited USA and protests took place there. He said that people of Iran supported the revolution and thoughts of Imam Khomeini and added that he and his successors have done a lot for the development of Islamic Republic of Iran and people of their Country. He said that Iran has made tremendous progress in post revolution period particularly in the field of education and scientific and technological advancement.

He pointed out that with its 550 Universities Iran is now leading Muslim Countries in terms of higher educational institutions. The Vice Chancellor also highlighted revolution of different countries took place in the world in the Islamic history and said that evolution of Iran was a unique revolution in Islamic world. The Consulate General of the Iran Mr. Masood Muhammad Zamani speaking on the occasion thanked the Vice Chancellor and  said that strong brotherly ties existed between two Countries since ages equally supported by not only the Governments but also  by the masses.

The Deputy Consul General of Consulate General Japan, Karachi Mr. Toshikazu Ismoura visited the Area Study Centre Far East and South East Asia University of Sindh on Saturday. The Guest met with Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Nazir A Mughal and discussed the academic and research programs on going in the University and also briefed the educational programs by the Government of Japan. He also briefed the Vice Chancellor about scholarships for the faculty members and students and informed that their Government has been awarding scholarships to the faculty members in research area and students for their higher education of the Area Study Centre. He also pledges to donate books for the beautiful library of the centre and said that the centre has established a very excellent library with collection of rare books. The guest also visited the Area Study centre and held a meeting with Director of the Centre Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, Dr. Lutfullah Mangi and faculty members there The Guest also visited the Institute of Sindhology and lauded work of its for the promotion and preservation of history and culture of Sindh.

The Director Institute of Law University of Sindh has announced that classes of LL.B Program for the academic session 2010 will start from Monday, February, 22.

The Director Institute of Law University of Sindh has announced on Saturday that regular classes of LL.B (5-year Program) for the new batch for academic session 2010 will commence from Monday, February, 22. The concerned students are hereby advised to attend their regular classes and also collect their students Identity Card and schedule of classes from the Office of the Institute.

The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Nazir A.Mughal paid a surprise visit to the Institute of Law, Dr. N.A Baloch Model School and Faculty of Education Hyderabad on Saturday. The Dean faculty of Education Dr. Parveen Munshi and Principal of School Mr. Akhtar Ahmed Memon were accompanied to the Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor inspected on going second semester examination of LL.B at the Institute and visited the Metharam Hostel to inspect on going repair work. The Vice Chancellor also inspected facilities, classrooms and library of the Institute of Law.

The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Nazir A.Mughal has said that faculty members and employees both are key pillars and urged to work collectively for development of the University. Addressing to University employees on occasion of welcome reception in his honour arranged by the Sindh University Employees on Wednesday, Dr. Mughal said that he believes in unity and added that unity is power for the achievements He said that he has came here to serve the University, faculty, students and employees and would be introducing reforms in field of higher education. Dr. Mughal said that employees are helping hand of the University and advised them to serve the University with sprit of dedication. The Vice Chancellor expressed thanks to the employees for their cooperation and assured that he will introduce more reforms for the betterment of employees and for upgrading standard of the University. Dr. Mughal pointed out that he had served as Vice Chancellor during 1995-99 and introduced many academic reforms. we are living in a digital world  and we must verify facts carefully Dr. Mughal said and added that any baseless news always damage the image of the University and its employees. Dr. Mughal pointed out that he has already formed an Executive Council comprising top brains of the University to help in implementation of reforms in the University. Referring demands presented by the employees, the Vice Chancellor said that same are process of resolution and some of them have been already put in agenda of the council for discussion. The Vice Chancellor urged upon the employees to help the administration by advising the students to attend the classes and academic activities and avoid from unhealthy activities.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need that the employees keep their eyes on those who are destroying image of the University and play their part in promotion of peaceful academic environment at the campus. Pro Vice Chancellor Sindh University Campus Mirpurkhas Dr. Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar speaking on the occasion offered full cooperation to employees. The Registrar of the University Mr. Muhammad Hussain Shaikh said that
process of resolution of genuine problems of employees already begin as instructed by the Vice Chancellor. He advised the employees to be punctual on their duties and perform well for the betterment of the University. President of Sindh University Employees Welfare Association Mr. Ghulam Nabi Bhalai assured the Vice Chancellor for full support and cooperation on behalf of the employees. He pointed out the problems of employees regarding allotment of residential plots in 3rd phase, promotions of employees under technical scheme, promotion of employees of BPS 16 in next grade through selection Board and also promotion of employees by holding meeting of DPC.

The controller of Examinations, University of Sindh postponement of college side examination papers.

The controller of Examinations University of Sindh has announced on Wednesday the postponement of college side examination papers of B.A, B.Sc and B.Com Pass Part-II which were schedule to be conducted on February, 19 and February 27 and notified that same papers will be conducted on March, 4 and March, 05 respectively.
